my pride and joy. I entered this in the State contest(didn't win though...dont care either, because I was in the newspaper!!!!!) the design on the back of the glove might seem familiar to those who play Zelda, since i borrowed it from Link's shield in OoT. I first went out and bought a pair of leather gloves(Harley Davidson) and then cut out three triangular pieces of nickel silver for the plates on the lower part of the glove. I curved the three pieces to fit along the glove and had them overlap each other to make them look scale-like(that, and they make a kick-ass clanking sound everytime i move it!!!!!) the metal is attached to the glove by hand-made rivets(lost count of how many times I cut, smashed and jammed my fingers doing it). and the final piece is a bird claw that can be slipped on and off any time. i had another idea in mind for the fingers, but i was on a deadline at the time, so i came up with that. I will hopefully have a pair by the end of next year, only if i can get into a jewelry class at the North Seattle Community College in the fall. if you have any questions, just ask.
Kickass, bro! Any chance of a tutorial?
Looks kick ass alright! But does the upper scale parts poke you if you lift your wrist upwards?
Ack! Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy with school. But the scale does not poke me when I lift my wrist upwards. I shaped it so that it would just lay gently on my skin. Thanks for the comment!
